Vaj Tsab Autobiography
Vaj Tsab was the fourth son of Va Lee and Mee Ly. He was born on March 23, 1946. Wangcha married Sheng Vang, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chouseng Vang on January 8, 1970. He and Sheng have three sons and five daughters.
In 1964, at the age of 17, he started school. He earned a Lao Primary Certificate in 1966. After Primary School, Vaj Tsab pursued his education at a Secondary School known as The School of Pedagogy of DongDok, Vientian, Laos. The School of Pedagogy of DongDok is a well known and high quality program specializing in teaching Theory designed by the French Indochina. He is the first of the Kiatoukaysy to earn a diploma in 1970 and become a certified teacher. In 1985 Wangcha graduated with a 2 year Associate degree in Electronic Technology from Milwaukee Area Technical College . He also established and server as the first Board President of the organization of Hmong/American Friendship Association located in Milwaukee , Wisconsin. And, finally from 1986-1987 he was the Executive Director of the Lo-Pha Society in Omaha, Nebraska , a National Organization for the Lo and the Phab Clans
In 1966 Vaj Tsab concluded that he want to use his great grandfather's first name as the last name to distinguish them from the other Hmong clans. Vaj Tsab was the first person to use Kiatoukaysy as his last name, eventually all his brothers, sisters and cousins agreed to use Kiatoukaysy as their last name. Since using Kiatoukaysy as their last name, the family has been blessed by their great grandfather.
For his talents, hard work, good determination and leadership, Vaj Tsab's Legacy will live on through the Kiatoukaysy name for many generationsto come.
